How to Install the Official OpenClaw Extension for Amazon
If you want OpenClaw to open and use your Amazon account, the most important thing is to use the official Chrome extension. I ran into a problem because my current extension was not the official one, and it did not have any place to enter the gateway token. Without that token field, OpenClaw cannot connect correctly.
To fix this, I asked OpenClaw to install an official extension for me. You can also install the official extension in another way if needed. The key point is the same: remove the unofficial extension and use the official one, because the official one includes the settings page where you can enter the token.
The official extension files are already installed at this path:
~/.openclaw/browser/chrome-extension
Here is the full setup process.
-
Open
chrome://extensions -
Find your current extension, usually named something like OpenClaw Replay or a similar name, then remove it.
-
Turn on Developer mode in the top right corner.
-
Click Load unpacked.
-
Select this folder:
~/.openclaw/browser/chrome-extension -
Open the extension Details page, then click Extension options.
This is where the configuration is located. It is not in the small popup window. -
Fill in the settings like this:
Port:
18792
Gateway token: your gateway tokenTo get the gateway token, run
openclaw dashboard --no-openand copy the token part from the link that includes#token=... -
Go back to your Amazon tab and click the extension icon. If the icon changes to ON, the setup is successful.
Once the icon shows ON, OpenClaw can access Amazon through the official extension.
